New Life Victory Church, Pastor Scott Anderson: December 12/01/24 Sunday AM Tithe a) Acts 10:1-7, Our prayers, tithes, and giving need to make it to a level that God notices b) Acts 2:4 - Acts 3:6, There are certain things set aside for the church. We need to set aside time for God. Message Four Obstacles to Knowing God 1) Satan - He is an attacker and a liar, is only one angel but has an army of demons 2) Mind 3) Flesh 4) World - the cares of this world Galatians 5:22-23 Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires Romans 6:19 - We need to present ourselves for righteousness for holiness. We need to not let our flesh be weak Matthew 26:36-40 We need to watch and pray to avoid temptation, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak The flesh is weak when it is in disagreement with God. We will miss out on things from God due to weak flesh. Galatians 5:17, the flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. We have 2 natures inside of us and the stronger one is the one that wins out. ---Saying we have 2 natures inside of us, one is cursed and one is blessed. We need to feed the blessed and starve the cursed. Romans 13:14, We need to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and less for the desires of the flesh. Out flesh wants comfort and sympathy. We need not to let our flesh run our bodies. 1 Corinthians 9:27 - Paul disciplines his body Romans 8:1-13, the Holy Spirit will help us lead our lives by the spirit.
