Alone With God

NLVC.TV, New Life Victory Church, Pastor Scott Anderson (PSA) Wednesday Evening, 05/01/2019 A) We need to have a secret place for prayer. We need a place to separate ourselves from things and a place that we can be alone with God. Matthew 6:(5-8) B) Jesus had secret places for prayer. 1) Up on the mountain. Matthew 14:(22-23) 2) Early in the morning (before daylight) in a solitary place. Mark 1:(35) 3) In a deserted place. Luke 4:(42) 4) In the wilderness. Luke 5:(16) 5) In the mountains, all through the night Luke 6:(12) When we pray we must meet our father. In our private prayer we need to connect with God. Matthew 6:(6) C) Our father is ALWAYS found in the secret place. Without faith it is impossible to please HIM, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:(6) D) The fruit of secret prayer is that HE will reward us openly! Matthew 6:(6) E) Our Father already knows what we have need of before we ask. Matthew 6:(8) F) God hears us! We should memorize 1 John 5:(14-15) God freely gives us all things. Romans 8:(32)
