A Merry Heart Provides Healing and Health

"A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones" Proverbs 17:(22) If we consistently have a merry heart it will affect our health. "The spirit of man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?" Proverbs 18:(14) Because we live on this planet, we can get sick. However, God in us sustains us. We need to keep our faith strong as our faith in God sustains us through sickness trials. We should speak to the holy spirit and ask if we have a broken spirit in us. "Lord, I have had things not work out or hit a reset button on things in my life. If there is, I receive healing from this broken spirit" What is a merry heart? Pleasing, Lively, Cheerful and full of joy. Matthew 12:(34) Bible Principal: "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" so what is the abundant thing in our hearts? "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken" Proverbs 15:(13) "All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast." Proverbs 15:(15) God wants us to have a merry heart. A merry heart leads to great health. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:(7) In the Amplified Bible for Proverbs 15:(15) says: "All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil (by anxious thoughts and forebodings), but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast (regardless of circumstances). Nehemiah 8:(10) Proverbs 4:(22) Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:(12) Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:(25) A sound heart is life to the body Proverbs 16:(23) The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips. Proverbs 14:(30) "Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility." Proverbs 18:(12)
